abstract The present invention relates to a system for the management of occlusions during phacoemulsification surgery. More particularly, the present invention provides an alert to a user of a surgical console when partial or total occlusion of a surgical tool causes the depression to become greater than a predefined pressure threshold setting and automatically reduces the depression when that it exceeds the preset pressure threshold setting.
