abstract |
The present invention relates to a composition comprising a) a phase change material; b) 1 to 10% by weight of a gelling additive based on silica; and c) a gelling additive based on styrene copolymer; the composition being in the form of a gel and the weight ratio of b) the silica gelling additive; c) the styrene copolymer additive in the composition being in the range of 0.6 to 5: 1. The invention also relates to a process for preparing the composition and an article and a product comprising the composition. Finally, the invention relates to the use of a combination of a silica gelling additive and a styrene copolymer gelling additive to prepare a gel composition comprising a phase change material having one or more several improved properties. |
