abstract Systems and methods for rapidly generating simulations of a patient's vertebral morphology that allow for pre-operative visualization of a patient's condition and assisting surgeons in determining the best intervention corrective, with selection, augmentation or fabrication of vertebral devices based on the patient-specific simulated condition. The simulation is generated by morphing a generic vertebral column model with a three-dimensional curve representation of the patient's particular vertebral morphology derived from existing images of the patient's condition. Other anatomical structures of the skeletal system of the patient are also simulated by morphing a generic normal skeletal model, if any, particularly skeletal entities that are connected directly or indirectly to the spine.
