abstract The present invention relates to a process for preparing Ganoderma lucidum extract using an environmentally friendly extraction technique, a Ganoderma lucidum extract thus prepared, and a cosmetic composition containing the extract and, more particularly, a process for the preparation of Ganoderma lucidum extract which takes advantage of an extraction technique using an aqueous cyclodextrin solution or an extraction technique using an aqueous cyclodextrin solution in combination with an ultrasonic extraction to obtain an extract of Ganoderma lucidum containing a high concentration of the triterpenoid used as an effective ingredient, which makes it possible to increase the anti-aging effects such as the suppression of the MMP-1 activity and the restriction of the collagen degradation, an extract of Ganoderma lucidum thus prepared, and a cosmetic composition containing the extract. In addition, the present invention relates to a use of the cosmetic composition containing a Ganoderma lucidum extract to reduce skin wrinkles and increase skin elasticity, and a method for reducing skin wrinkles and a method of increasing the elasticity of the skin, each process using the composition.
