abstract |
The present invention relates to a solid polymer fuel cell catalyst obtained by forming carbon powder support supporting catalyst particles from platinum, cobalt and manganese. The catalyst particles of this catalyst have a constituent molar ratio among platinum, cobalt and manganese, namely Pt: Co: Mn of 1: 0.25-0.28: 0.07-0.10, while having an average particle diameter of 3.4 to 5.0 nm. In addition, in the particle size distribution of the catalyst particles, the proportion of catalyst particles whose particle diameter is less than or equal to 3.0 nm in all catalyst particles is 37% or less in number . A fluorinated compound having a C-F bond is supported by at least the surfaces of the catalyst particles. The present invention has an effect on improving the durability of the ternary alloy catalyst described above. |
