CATALYST ELECTRICALLY HEATED |
abstract |
An electrically heated catalyst (1) comprises a honeycomb substrate (2), a carbon electrode (3) and a junction section (4). The honeycomb substrate (2) comprises a resistance heating element which has a lower electrical resistance than SiC. The carbon electrode (3) is formed on the honeycomb substrate (2). The junction section (4) connects the honeycomb substrate (2) and the carbon electrode (3) to each other, and comprises a metal brazing material. It is possible to adjust the porosity of the honeycomb substrate (2) to less than 20%. |
