abstract | The invention relates to a catalyst for the polymerization of olefins, which has an excellent durability of polymerization activity during the polymerization of α-olefins and which allows the appropriate production of an α-olefin (co) polymer which has a high tacticity and a high MFR (melt flow index), while having a good moldability. The invention relates to a catalyst for olefin polymerization, which is characterized in that it contains: a solid catalyst component which contains magnesium, titanium, halogen and an internal electron donor compound; an organic aluminum compound; and external electron donor compounds which are composed of two types of alkoxysilane compounds having specific structures respectively represented by the general formula (I) and the general formula (II). This catalyst for the polymerization of olefins is also characterized in that it contains 51-99 mol% of the external electron donor compound represented by the general formula (I) and 1-49 mol% of the donor compound of external electron represented by the general formula (II) with respect to the total amount of the two external electron donor compounds. |
