abstract The present invention relates to a data synchronization system and method relating to the technical field of data synchronization. The method includes the steps of: a target terminal acquires a server domain name from a local pre-stored target computer room, and sends a service request to the target computer room using the server domain name; the target computer room executes a service operation corresponding to the service request, updates a first database and generates a data change message; the target computer room sends the data change message to a computer room associated with the target computer room; and the associated computer room performs data synchronization in accordance with the received data change message. With the present invention, the active-active feasibility of the computer room and associated computer room is ensured, and the utilization rate of computer room processing resources in a computer room architecture is improved.
