The invention relates to an inflatable float tank for enabling a session of therapeutic sensory deprivation. The inflatable float tank includes opaque inflatable sidewalls comprising a drop point material. The drop point material comprises opposing walls with sewn yarns extending at acute angles from one another. When deflated, these internal point structures may collapse and provide deflated sidewalls that are substantially collapsible and collapsible as opposed to substantially rigid sidewalls upon inflation. The inflatable float tank is filled with a floating solution comprising water and Epsom salt heated to skin temperature so as to provide a highly floating float environment with a lack of sensory stimulation. The inflatable float tank has improved insulation inside the tank and ease of assembly. The inflatable float tank and its assembly do not require rigid support structures such as poles and seals. In addition, the inflatable float tank is substantially collapsible in an uninflated state and is substantially rigid in an inflated condition. |
