titleOfInvention | ALKYLATION WITH MIXTURES OF OLEFINS |
abstract | The present invention relates to an alkylation process. The process involves providing at least two reaction zones arranged in sequence. In at least the first two reaction zones, a mixture of olefins comprising C 3 and C 4 olefins is contacted with isoparaffin comprising isobutane in the presence of a sulfuric acid solution under conditions method for producing a product mixture comprising a spent acid solution and an alkylate product, wherein the molar ratio of C3-C4 olefins in the olefin mixture decreases in each subsequent reaction zone. In the process, the sulfuric acid solution present in a reaction zone contains the spent acid solution produced in the immediately preceding reaction zone. |
