abstract |
A method of preparing a boron nitride foam comprises flowing a gaseous medium along a flow path; introducing into the flow path a fluid composition which comprises boron nitride sheets, a suspending agent, and optionally a surfactant for frothing the fluid composition in the flow path; exiting the foam fluid composition from the flow path; and solidifying the resulting fluid composition to provide the boron nitride foam; the boron nitride foam having a structure defined by a three-dimensional network of interconnected cells defined by cell walls, the cell walls comprising the boron nitride sheets. |
