A catalyst material which is in the form of particles having an expanded trilobal or quadrilobal cross sectional shape with a larger surface area to volume ratio than the previously known catalyst forms. The invention also relates to a matrix having a plurality of openings of cross-section in the form of three-lobed or expanded four-lobed and methods of making catalyst parts by extruding a mixture of catalyst material through such a matrix. . |
