titleOfInvention REAL-TIME OUTPUT CORRECTION OF SENSOR OUTPUTS RESULTING FROM X-RAY X-RAY SOURCE VARIATIONS USING MONITORING DETECTORS
abstract The present invention relates to a measurement compensation mechanism for a borehole logging tool based on an electronic radiation source that compensates for geometric variations in the direction output of an X-ray source, the measurement compensation system. comprising: at least one electronic radiation source; at least one shield against radiation; at least three reference detectors; and at least one borehole measurement radiation detector. The invention further relates to a method of compensating the measurement of a borehole logging tool based on an electronic radiation source that compensates for geometric variations in the directional output of an X-ray source, the method comprising at least: measuring an azimuth distribution of radiation intensities equidistant from an electron radiation source to correct a measured radiation value of a borehole measurement radiation detector with respect to the direction azimuthal measurement of the borehole measurement radiation detector.
