abstract The present invention provides novel compositions and methods for profiling DNA and RNA by Next Generation Sequencing (NGS). In particular, target nucleic acid sequences are coded in sequence. Sequence coding stoichiometrically "translates" the target nucleic acid sequences into rational design short code words that compact and error-resistant coding the sequence information of the targets and can be efficiently and accurately sequenced by platelets. NGS forms of short readings.
