titleOfInvention | FOOTWEAR AND OTHER FOOT RECEPTION DEVICES |
abstract | The invention relates to footwear (100) or other foot receiving devices comprising various features of optimal fit, stability and / or "locked" foot feeling. The stems (102) for such footwear (or other foot receiving devices) include: (a) an upper shell (110) defining an inner chamber (110C), the upper shell (110) comprising a plantar support (110S) and sidewalls (110L, 110M) extending from an outer perimeter (110P) of the plantar support surface (110S); and (b) a slipper component (120) (eg, in the form of a sock or sock garment) received in the inner chamber (110C). The stems may comprise: (c) one or more foot wraps (200, 250, 252, 254, 256, 258, 260, 270, 272, 274, 276, 278, 280); and / or (d) an inner midsole (140) within the slipper component (120). The slipper component (120) is attached to the upper shell (110) at a location within an outer perimeter (110P) of the plantar support surface (110S) of the upper shell (110). The at least one foot wrapping band (200, 250, 252, 254, 256, 258, 260, 270, 272, 274, 276, 278, 280) is attached to the upper shell (110) at a location within the outer perimeter (110P) of the plantar support surface (110S) of the upper shell (110). |
