SYSTEM AND METHOD COMPRISING A TRANSITION PHASE IN A MULTIPHASE INJECTION PROTOCOL |
abstract |
This invention relates to a method of administering a fluid injection to a patient via a fluid injector having two or more syringes comprising injecting the first fluid from the fluid injection from minus a first syringe at a first predefined rate, wherein the first fluid has a first viscosity; injecting an initial portion of the second fluid from at least a second syringe at an intermediate rate different from a second predefined rate for a specified time, wherein the second fluid has a second viscosity different from the first; and injecting the remaining portion of the second fluid of the fluid injection at a rate at the predefined second rate. The invention also relates to a fluid injector system adapted to deliver a multiphase fluid injection. |
