titleOfInvention | HIGH TEMPERATURE RETICULATED FRACTURING FLUIDS ENHANCED |
abstract | The invention relates to a fracturing fluid comprising a mixture of an aqueous terpolymer composition comprising a terpolymer, an additive and a crosslinking agent. The terpolymer comprises 2-acrylamido-2-methylpropanesulfonic acid, acrylamide and monomeric units of acrylic acid, or a salt thereof. The additive comprises a sugar alcohol or a derivative thereof, and the crosslinking agent comprises a metal. The weight ratio of metal to terpolymer is in a range of 0.01 to 0.16, and a concentration of the additive is in a range of 0.001 wt.% To 10 wt.% Of the fracturing fluid. Treatment of a subterranean formation includes introduction of the fracturing fluid into an underground formation, and crosslinking of the fracturing fluid in the subterranean formation to produce a cross-linked fracturing fluid. The cross-linked fracturing fluid mitigates the damage caused by significant amounts of total dissolved solids or significant water hardness. |
