In one aspect, the present invention relates to a method of manufacturing a cryogenic pressure vessel. The method may include the use of a wrapped, composite and metal coated container having a boss. The method may further include attaching an entrance to the boss, and then encapsulating the wrapped, composite, and metal-coated container within a metal layer in a controlled vacuum environment to form a subset of internal tank encapsulated. The method may further include attaching at least one support outside the encapsulated internal reservoir subassembly, and, within the controlled vacuum environment, applying a metal coating on the encapsulated inner reservoir subassembly and the one or more supports for forming a metal encapsulated inner encapsulated reservoir subassembly. The method may further comprise, within the controlled vacuum environment, encapsulating the encapsulated and metal coated inner tank subassembly within a metal vacuum jacket, which forms the container. under cryogenic pressure. |
