The invention provides methods of treating cellular proliferative disorders, including in some cases cancer. In certain aspects, the invention provides methods which include administering to a subject having a cellular proliferative disorder a therapeutically effective amount of a CD55 binding agent wherein, at the time of administration, cells with abnormal proliferation of the cell proliferation disorder are not suspected of overexpressing CD55. In some embodiments, the invention provides methods that include administering to a subject having a cellular proliferation disorder a therapeutically effective amount of a CD55 binding agent and a therapeutically effective amount. The T-cell activators of interest include, for example, costimulatory receptor agonists, inhibitory signal antagonists (e.g., immune checkpoint inhibitors), and the like. The invention also relates to compositions and kits for use, for example, in the practice of the methods of the present invention. |
