titleOfInvention METHOD AND DEVICE FOR SUPPLYING A QUANTITY OF SUBSTANCE
abstract In a method of supplying a quantity of substance from a sample to be analyzed from a thin layer plate (2) in thin layer chromatography, the amount of substance is removed from a surface (10) of the thin-film plate (2) by means of a cutting edge (9, 18) disposed at a receiving aperture (8) of a cannula (6) and is supplied by means of the cannula (6) to the sample chamber (3) connected to the cannula (6). In the sample chamber (3), a negative pressure can be generated to suck up the amount of substance removed from the thin film plate (2) by means of the cannula (6) and transfer it through the receiving aperture (8) into the cannula (6) and through the cannula (6) into the sample chamber (3). The sample chamber (3) can be filled with a solvent after removal and transfer of the amount of substance to transfer the amount of substance into a solution. The cannula (6) provided with the cutting edge (9, 18) can be deflected against an elastic force or the cutting edge (18) can be deflected at the receiving opening (8) of the cannula ( 6) against an elastic force with respect to the receiving opening (8) of the cannula (6) to prevent, during removal of the amount of substance from the thin-film plate (2) the cutting edge (9, 18) penetrates to an excessive contact pressure in the thin-film plate (2).
