titleOfInvention MUSCLE STRESS MEASUREMENT IN AN APPARATUS EQUIPPED WITH A SENSOR
abstract The present invention relates to an exercise feedback system determining muscle strain measurements using physiological data generated by a tracked athletic garment. A muscle strain measure represents a normalized signal accumulated from one or more of the sensors corresponding to a given muscle over a period of time. The exercise feedback system can customize exercise programs, determine the risk of injury, or generate biological feedback for presentation on graphical user interfaces using muscle strain measurements. In one embodiment, the exercise feedback system accesses predetermined muscle stress measurement models that define criteria for the above features. For example, in response to the determination that an athlete is fatigued and is exercising improperly on the basis of muscle strain, the exercise feedback system modifies the exercise program of the exercise. the athlete to help target and improve the athlete's weaknesses.
