The medical implant comprises a domed shell having a height (h), an inner equatorial shell radius (rs), an orifice radius (ro), a thickness (ts) at the equatorial line, and a thickness (tt) at the top of the dome. The implant is constructed so that one or more of the thickness (ts), the thickness (tt), the equatorial hull radius (rs), the orifice radius (ro) and the hull height ( h) are customized according to the hip joint of the subject based on at least one 3D CT image showing substantially all of the natural femoral head and acetabulum of said hip joint. |
