abstract | Provided is an electric brake device which can reliably charge a switch power supply, can be quickly operated at the next braking operation, and can improve noise and vibration at no load. A switch means (21) such as a half bridge circuit is provided to control the connection between the coil end of the electric motor (6) and the power supply (3). A switch power supply (22) having a storage function comprising a capacitor or the like for switching the switch means (21) is provided. Charge means (24) such as a charge circuit for storing the switch power supply (22) in a predetermined switching pattern of the switch means (21) is provided. When it is determined that the transition to the release state of the brake is completed, at least the stationary electric motor (6) is not driven spontaneously and the switch means (21) is switched by the charge means (24). (22) A brake standby function unit (16) is provided which maintains a predetermined switching pattern that can be stored in (22). |
