titleOfInvention MAGNETIC ASSISTED SEPARATION APPARATUSES AND ASSOCIATED METHODS
abstract Magnetically assisted separation apparatuses for separating a target substance from a medium in which the target substance is suspended, and related methods. In one aspect, a magnetic separator may include a frame having an opening configured to receive one or more containers containing the solution. In addition, the magnetic separator may include a first and a second magnetic field generating element mounted on opposite sides of the frame such that one or more containers may be positioned between the first and second magnetic field generating members. In another aspect, a workstation includes a work surface for receiving one or more containers containing the solution, a fluid transfer member, an automated manipulator configured to move the fluid transfer member, and a plurality of generating members. magnetic field movable between a position remote from the container or containers and another position adjacent to the container or containers.
