abstract In certain aspects, the invention relates to an animal habitat comprising means for spreading and releasing one or more biopesticides. Generally, such means comprise one or more support elements placed in the animal habitat. The animal habitat can be a hen house, a dovecote, a house, a stable, a barn, a loft, an enclosure, a kennel or a pond. The biopesticide can be bacteria, nematodes or fungi such as Metarhizium anisopliae, which is an insecticide against Alphitobius diaperinus. The support member may include one or more repellents. According to some aspects of the invention, a method is used for spreading and releasing one or more pesticides, including placing, in an animal habitat, one or more support members comprising one or more pesticides.
