The present invention relates to the production of adeno-associated virus vectors in insect cells. The insect cells thus comprise a first nucleotide sequence coding for the adeno-associated virus capsid proteins (AAV), the initiation codon used for the translation of the VP1 capsid protein of AAV thus being an AUG. Upstream of the open VP1 reading frame, another out-of-frame start codon is set so that the translation initiation of the VP1 protein is modified, i.e., reduced, to allow the production of VP1: VP2: VP3 according to a good stoichiometry leading to VAA having a high power. |
