The invention relates to a system for recovering grease, oil and grease (FOG) contained in wastewater which has multiple annular flotation zones (104, 106, 108) in a concentric configuration surrounding a central column ( 102) to create progressively increasing surfaces for flotation of solid particles and FOG, thereby improving the recovery and removal of FOGs. Each flotation zone is equipped with an independent system for the distribution of ozone microbubbles and pressurized air (112, 114, 116). A controlled amount of ozone can be injected into the wastewater together with a recirculating effluent and micrometric sized air bubbles. Upon release of the pressurized air-ozone-water mixture, micron-sized bubbles are generated and distributed in each flotation zone to efficiently float solid particles and FOG into the wastewater stream. |
