titleOfInvention | FOLDING DILATOR |
abstract | According to some examples, the invention relates to an introducer, having an outer elongated member defining a lumen extending therethrough, the lumen having a cross-sectional lumen dimension, and a dilator adapted to be received within the lumen. of the lumen of the outer elongate member, the dilator may include a proximal section, a distal section comprising a distal end of the dilator, and an intermediate section disposed between the proximal section and the tapered distal section. According to some examples, the intermediate section may define a through opening, which configures the intermediate section to be foldable from a deployed configuration to a folded configuration. In the folded configuration, the intermediate section may have a first dimension of cross-section dilator, which is smaller than a second dimension of cross-section dilator when the intermediate section is in the expanded configuration. |
