abstract The present invention provides a method for determining whether an HLA allele is lost in a tumor in a subject, said method comprising the step of determining the number of specific copies of said HLA allele in said tumor. The invention also relates to a method of treating a cancer in a subject, comprising targeting a neo-antigen whose presence is predicted by an HLA molecule encoded by an HLA allele determined not to have been lost in a tumor at said subject.
