The present invention relates to a method for removing traces of ethylene in air currents, which process may comprise the following steps: a first step in which the gaseous mixture is introduced into a reactor which comprises at least a bed containing a material which may be selected from zeolite, amorphous silica, magnesium sulphate, sodium hydroxide, potassium hydroxide, potassium sulphate, calcium sulphate, potassium and combinations thereof; a second stage during which the effluent of the first stage is fed into another reactor which comprises at least one catalyst comprising at least one zeolite exchanged with at least one metal ion which may be chosen preferably from Ag, Pd, Cu, Pt, Au, Ru, Sn, Ce, Cu, Ni, Mn, Mo and combinations thereof; and recovering the output gas stream. |
