abstract The present invention relates to magnetic core-shell nanoparticles, as well as their use in initiation of oxidation-reduction initiated polymerization processes. The invention also relates to a formulation comprising magnetic core-shell nanoparticles, and in particular an adhesive formulation, as well as associated methods for controlling the adhesion of at least two adhered portions by means of the adhesive formulation. Other embodiments of the invention relate to methods of controlling oxidation-reduction initiated polymerization processes, and in particular to radical-initiated oxidative-reduction adhesive polymerization.
