IMPROVED REP PROTEIN FOR USE IN A DIAGNOSIS ASSAY |
abstract |
The present invention relates to a DNA replication-related protein (Rep) comprising an amino acid sequence as shown in SEQ ID NO: 11 or 12; (b) a fragment of SEQ ID NO: 11 or 12 which is capable of binding a specific anti-Rep antibody of a protein having the amino acid sequence of SEQ ID NOs: 11 or 12; or (c) an amino acid sequence having a homology of 90% or more with the amino acid sequence of (a) or (b) and is capable of binding a specific anti-Rep antibody of a protein having a amino acid sequence of SEQ ID NO: 11 or 12. The present invention further relates to a method of diagnosing MS or predisposition to MS and a kit for use in such methods. |
