abstract |
The invention relates to the activation of beta-catenin in cardiomyocytes, which enhances or stimulates the regeneration of cardiomyocytes to thereby prevent or treat diseases or conditions of the heart such as ischemic heart disease. At least one other genetic element, such as YAP1 (Yes-associated protein-1), may facilitate or assist the action of beta-catenin in the regeneration of cardiomyocytes. |
