titleOfInvention APPARATUS AND METHODS FOR TENDING A PELLETERIE ON A PELLET BOARD
abstract The invention relates to an apparatus and a method for attaching a drawn furskin to a furboard board by means of a tubular plastic sleeve which has two outwardly extending flanges. The fur is substantially tubular in shape, defining an inward facing leather side, an outward facing fur side, a front end and a rear end. The felting board defines an upper end for receiving and securing the front end of the furskin, a circumferential wall for facing the inward facing leather side of the furskin and a base end located opposite from the upper end. The apparatus includes a holding device for holding the base end of the plywood board, and further comprises a fastener having a pair of gripping members. Each of the gripping members is adapted to grip a respective flange of the tubular plastic sleeve, when the sleeve is loosely positioned in a first position at the upper end of the furboard at the end thereof. forward, and to spread the flanges to widen the tubular plastic sleeve, moving the sleeve from the first position at the upper end to a second position at the base end of the plywood board and disengaging the gripping elements of the flanges to allow the sleeve to return to its original shape and in doing so, the coupling firmly to the first side facing outward of the fur trade at the rear end thereof.
