abstract The invention relates to a process for the preparation of a silane, a process for the modification of a silicic acid with the silane and a modified silicic acid. The process for preparing a silane according to formula I) comprises at least the following steps. a) Provision of a substance (R1) OSi-R2-HNC (= 0) NH-A-NH2; b) providing a substance HOC (= O) -A-S2-A-C (= O) OH; c) activation of the substance from step b) by reaction with oxalyl chloride to form C1C (= O) -A-S2-A-C (= O) Cl; d) reacting at least two equivalents of the substance from step a) with one equivalent of the substance from step a), thereby obtaining a silane according to formula I); e) optionally purification of the silane obtained in step d) according to formula I) (R 1) OSi-R 2 -HNC (OO) NH-A-HNC (OO) -A-Sk-AC (OO) NH-A- NHC (= O) -R2-Si (R1), where the groups A within a molecule may be the same or different and are aromatic groups.
