abstract The present invention relates to a device for medical examination of a patient. The device is designed to facilitate self-examination of a variety of physiological parameters indicative of disease or physiological irregularities. Examples of such physiological parameters include body temperature indicative of fever, ear diseases indicative of ear infection, heart rate, oxygen level in the blood. Although the device of the present invention may be an autonomous device, it may be designed, according to embodiments of the present invention, to be associated and operated with a mobile communication device, in particular a smartphone.
