titleOfInvention CHELATING AGENT BASED ON BIODEGRADABLE DIETHANOLAMINE DERIVATIVE AND PROCESS FOR PREPARING THE SAME
abstract The present invention relates to a novel chelating agent based on a diethanolamine derivative having a high water solubility, a good chelating property and a biological degradation. The novel chelating agent may be prepared from a reaction of diethanolamine and a cyclic anhydride compound using a Lewis acid as a catalyst. Said process is not complicated, does not use severe conditions and also reduces the use of harmful chemicals.
