titleOfInvention Image projection device
abstract The purpose of the present invention is to provide a user with a quality image. An image projection device according to the present invention comprises: a light source (10) for emitting laser light (40); a control unit (32) that generates the laser light (40) based on input image data and controls the laser light (40) emitted from the light source (10); a scanning mirror (14) that scans the laser light (40) emitted from the light source (10), thereby creating scanning light (42); and a projection module (16) that irradiates the retina (52) in a user's eye (50) with the scanning light (42) to thus project an image onto the retina (52). The projection module (16) includes: an optical system (18) that allows the scanning light (42) emitted by the scanning mirror (14) to converge on a virtual plane (62) located outside the user's eye (50) at an angle (θ2) substantially the same as the scanning angle (θ1) of the scanning mirror (14); and an optical system 24 that allows the scanning light (42) passing through the virtual plane (62) to converge on a virtual plane (64) located near the pupil (54) inside the user's eye (50) at an angle (θ4) substantially the same as the emission angle (θ3) from the virtual plane (62).
