A visual effect device for producing the effect of falling snow/ash, the device including a holder containing a sublimable solid for heating, a powered heater for controllably heating the sublimable solid to a particular temperature and a connector for supplying power to the heater. The sublimable solid may be metaldehyde or hexamethylenetetramine. Also disclosed is a method for generating the visual effect. |
