Provided is a method for producing an optically active pyrimidine amide derivative that can be produced on an industrial scale. Compound (I), (V) or a salt thereof is subjected to an asymmetric reduction reaction, the obtained compound (II) or a salt thereof is subjected to a deprotection reaction, the obtained compound (III) or a salt thereof is reacted with compound (IV) or a salt thereof, and compound (V) or a salt thereof is obtained.
