abstract |
The present invention provides a useful and efficient screening method for discovering cholinergic muscarinic M1 receptor positive allosteric modulators (M1PAM) having reduced cholinergic side effects. The present invention further provides a treatment for alzheimer's disease and the like, and a method for reducing cholingeric side effects by using a low α value M1PAM selected using the screening method or by using said M1PAM and an acetylcholinesterase inhibitor. |
