abstract This power transmitting device (100) transmits power to a power receiving device (200), which has a power receiving coil (CLB), under water. This power transmitting device (100) is provided with: one or more toroidal coils (CL) including a power transmitting coil (CLA) that transmits power to the power receiving coil (CLB) via a magnetic field; a bobbin bn which is arranged in the internal space of the coils (CL), said internal space being formed by the toroidal coils (CL), and which has an outer circumference extending along the inner circumferences of the toroidal coils (CL), thereby supporting the coils (CL) from the inside; a power transmitting circuit (150) which transmits alternating-current power to the power transmitting coil (CLA); and a capacitor (CA) which is connected to the coils (CL) so as to form a resonant circuit (152) that resonates with the coils (CL).
