abstract |
An optical genetic biosensor is disclosed. The optical genetic biosensor comprises: a substrate; a molecular beacon unit fixed to the substrate and including an oligonucleotide binding selectively to a target nucleic acid molecule, and a first compound at the end of the oligonucleotide; an optical probing unit binding selectively to the first compound and capable of retro-reflecting irradiated light; a light source unit for irradiating light onto the optical probing unit; and a light reception unit for receiving the light retro-reflected by the optical probing unit. The optical genetic biosensor can allow the accurate quantitative analysis of target nucleic acid molecules for both non-spectral light sources and spectral light sources. |
