abstract |
The present invention provides: a binder for a nonaqueous electrolyte secondary battery electrode containing a crosslinked polymer or a salt thereof; and a use for the binder. The crosslinked polymer contains, with respect to the total structural units, 50 to 99 mass% of structural units derived from ethylenic unsaturated carboxylic acid monomer and 1 to 50 mass% of structural units derived from alicylic structure-containing ethylenic unsaturated monomer. The crosslinked polymer preferably has a particle diameter as determined in an aqueous medium, after neutralization to a degree of neutralization of 80 to 100 mol%, of 0.1 to 10 µm in volume standard median diameter. |
