abstract | The present invention can be included in the medical field. The present invention provides a method for detecting and/or quantifying target miRNA, RNA or DNA molecules in an isolated sample. The method involves the steps of (a) contacting the isolated samples with a reagent mixture, (b) adding hydrogen peroxide (H 2 O 2 ) and an electrochemical mediator molecule, (c) using a magnet to capture the mixture obtained in step (b) onto an electrochemical sensor and (d) detecting and/or quantifying an electrochemical signal produced by the complex of step (c). The present invention also provides a device/kit and a combination product which comprises components which are useful for detecting and/or quantifying target miRNA, RNA or DNA molecules. Accordingly, the present invention also provides the use of the aforementioned device/kit and combination product for the detection and/or quantification of miRNA, RNA or DNA molecules in an isolated sample. |
