abstract | A display control method comprising: detecting whether a display panel is in a low brightness mode and/or a low ambient light mode; when the display panel is determined to be in the low brightness mode and/or the low ambient light mode, turning on an eye protection mode, the eye protection mode being a mode that further reduces, relative to the low brightness mode, the brightness of a color component in the display panel that damages the eyes of a user (S2). The described method, by automatically turning on the eye protection mode in a case when the display panel is in the low brightness mode, further reduces the color component in the display panel that damages the eyes of the user, and obviates the need for manual operation by the user, thus preventing ineffective eye protection as a result of the described adjustment function not being looked for or could not be found by a majority of users who are unfamiliar with the functions of the display panel, and greatly increasing the scope of user protection. |
