abstract A microdisk is provided as an embodiment of the present invention. The microdisk has a whispering gallery mode which has a high-quality factor and has directionality to oscillate, the microdisk comprising: a first coating layer formed by coating a side surface of the microdisk with a dielectric material; and a second coating layer which is formed on the first coating layer and includes at least one monomolecular film or one polymer film, wherein the dielectric material may be an oxide or a nitride. Also, as one embodiment of the present invention, a biosensor using a microdisk with a high-quality factor may be provided.
