titleOfInvention Antibacterial resin and manufacturing method therefor
abstract A manufacturing method of an antibacterial resin according to the present invention comprises the following procedures: a preparation step of preparing a synthetic resin powder and an antibacterial additive; a dispersion step of feeding the synthetic resin powder to a blender and dispersing particles, subsequent to the preparation step; a dispersion and blending step of adding the antibacterial additive to the blender receiving the synthetic resin powder, and then dispersing and blending the additive, subsequent to the dispersion step; a pelletizing step of forming the blended matter of the synthetic resin powder and the antibacterial additive into pellets by melting, extruding, and cutting, subsequent to the dispersion and blending step; and a product producing step of feeding the pellets to an injector to produce an antibacterial resin product, subsequent to the pelletizing step, wherein the antibacterial additive in the blending step includes hard charcoal powder. In addition, the antibacterial resin according to the present invention is made by the manufacturing method of an antibacterial resin and thus has the following effects: First, since plastics are applied to electronic products and daily supplies utilized in the human life, with the gradual expansion of their use, and plastic products exposed to humid air conditions may be a habitat for various bacteria, the present invention has the effect of being capable of minimizing the outbreak of a disease or an adverse influence on health by providing an antibacterial activity for such plastics through the addition of zeolite. Second, it is generally known that zeolite has an industrial main purpose of serving as an adsorbent or a molecular sieve for segregating fine materials different in size. According to the present invention, however, zeolite can be combined with a synthetic resin, etc., to produce an antibacterial resin, thereby being expected to produce an industrial ripple effect. Third, the present invention can integrate natural zeolite into a resin product by melting and has the effect of allowing natural zeolite to be used semi-permanently and to be generally applied to products in which the resin is used. Fourth, there is an effect that the use of natural zeolite, hard charcoal powder, etc. as an antibacterial additive can produce a resin product that does not show an adverse effect on the human body, such as being harmless to the human body, having antibacterial properties, etc. Fifth, natural zeolite particles are uniformly dispersed across a resin product through the dispersion process and blending process of natural zeolite so that the antibacterial function can be exerted across the resin product. Hence, the natural zeolite can expand its demands to various uses including kitchen utensils, such as dinnerware, cutting boards, water bottles, etc., infant products, such as baby bottles, toys, etc., various synthetic fiber products, cases for electronic products, or construction materials such as interior and exterior materials.
