abstract | Provided is an oily cosmetic which has a high dispersion stability, closely adheres to the skin, eyelashes or eyebrows, is highly spreadable on the skin, eyelashes or eyebrow, and is capable of imparting a long-lasting gloss and moist feeling when applied to the skin, eyelashes or eyebrow. The oily cosmetic according to the present invention comprises a compatibilized product of an oily agent (A) with a thickener (B). The thickener (B) is a modified cellulose fiber having a structure wherein group(s) represented by formula (1-1) and/or formula (1-2) [in the formulae: R 1 represents an aliphatic hydrocarbon group having 1-30 carbon atoms; n represents 0 or 1; m represents an integer of 10-100; m R 2 's may be the same or different and represent an alkylene group having 2-4 carbon atoms; and R 3 represents an aliphatic hydrocarbon group having 1-20 carbon atoms] are attached to a pyranose ring constituting cellulose fiber. |
