The present invention provides a means for reducing failure during the profile punching of a polarizing plate that has an ultraviolet cutting function and uses a polyester resin film and a cycloolefin resin film or acrylic resin film as a polarizer protective film, and improving the adhesion between the polarizer protective film and a polarizer after aging at high temperature. The present invention pertains to a polarizing plate having a laminated structure in which a hard coat layer, a polyester resin film, a polarizer, and a cycloolefin resin film or acrylic resin film are laminated in this order, wherein the hard coat layer and the cycloolefin resin film or acrylic resin film contain an ultraviolet absorber, and the polyester resin film does not substantially contain an ultraviolet absorber. |
